My name is Meagan Aherne

Hi Everyone!

My name is Meagan Aherne

I’m a photographer and historical photography collector with a passion for uncovering forgotten moments in history. I discover original photographic negatives, some over a century old, and carefully digitise, restore and preserve them. Through Lumirra Collective, I transform these remarkable pieces of history into timeless fine art prints, giving forgotten photographs a new life.

Each purchase goes towards to preservation of historic photography!

One of my biggest goals is to make historical photography accessible to everyone. Every fine art print purchased helps me continue discovering, researching, restoring and preserving forgotten photographs.

But I believe history isn't just something to be purchased. It's something to be shared.

That's why I've created a free online archive featuring the photographs I've discovered, allowing anyone to explore these remarkable glimpses into the past.

Recognise a face, family member or familiar place? I'd love to hear from you! You might hold a missing piece of history.
